Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies. It stores one thing on your device, only if you ask it to, and this page explains exactly what that is.
Cookies
CNCT2SOFT sets no cookies on this website — none at all. There are no analytics cookies, no advertising or targeting cookies, no third-party cookies, and no session cookies, because there is no login, no basket and no server-side session to keep. This is true of every page on the site.
The one thing that is stored
The site can be read in two environments, Night and Studio. If you choose one using the control in the navigation, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site opens the same way when you come back.

Local storage is not a cookie. It is a separate browser feature, it is not attached to network requests, and this value is never transmitted to CNCT2SOFT or to anyone else. It holds no identifier, nothing personal, and nothing that could be used to recognise you. It is not used for analytics, profiling or advertising.
Marketplaces
The buy buttons link to a tool's listing on a marketplace such as Etsy. Once you are on the marketplace's site, it may set its own cookies under its own cookie policy. CNCT2SOFT does not set them, cannot read them, and receives nothing from them.
If you never touch the control
Then nothing is stored on your device at all. The site reads the stored value if one exists, and writes only when you actively choose an environment. A visitor who simply reads the site without ever opening the environment control leaves no trace on their own machine.
Removing it
Switching back to the other environment overwrites the value. Clearing site data for this domain in your browser's settings removes it entirely. Nothing breaks if it is gone — the site simply opens in Night, which is the default.
Why there is no consent banner
Storing information on a visitor's device generally needs consent under the Irish ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. No. 336/2011), and the Data Protection Commission's guidance is explicit that this covers local storage as well as cookies. Regulation 5(5) sets out an exemption for storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service the user has explicitly requested.
In CNCT2SOFT's assessment, remembering an interface preference that the visitor deliberately chose — an environment, in this case — falls within that exemption: nothing is stored until you operate the control, the value is one of two words, it is used for nothing beyond remembering that one choice, and this page is the explanation the exemption calls for.
There is nothing else on this site that would require consent. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party content means there is no consent decision to put in front of you, and a banner asking for permission the site does not need would be theatre rather than transparency.
